A prominent chieftain and leader of Kalabari people, Asari Dokubo in a Facebook video has voiced his displeasure over the comparison being drawn between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Presidential candidate of the Labour party in the 2023 election, Mr Peter Obi. He expressed displeasure at what he observed as an unfair comparison, arguing that Peter Obi ruled Anambra for eight years with little or nothing to show as achievements, he said, making any comparison with Asiwaju is highly misplaced and unnecessary.
Mujahedeen Dokubo further highlighted the transformational strides of Tinubu regime in Lagos state, stating that the state was fundamentally different before the emergence of Bola Tinubu administration. He insisted that Obi had no valid excuse for not having a significant developmental progress and succession plan while he was governor of Anambra state, which is still affecting state even with the same APGA ruling till date.
According to him "somebody was governor for eight years and he has nothing to show, How them, can anybody in his or her right senses compare Peter Obi with Bola Tinubu? Go to Lagos, look at Lagos before 1999 and Lagos of today, he was there for eight years. Since Peter Peter Obi left Anambra, it's his party APGA that is still ruling that state, so nobody will say different people took over"
